Welcome to JAMS, a revolutionary, 4-month immersive language experience designed specifically for elementary students. We believe that learning a new language shouldn’t be confined to memorizing dry textbook dialogues. Instead, we transform foundational Mandarin vocabulary into chart-topping, undeniable cool vibes.

Through our proprietary, rhythm-based curriculum, your child will collaborate to produce original, hip-hop-inspired Chinese tracks. By linking essential everyday vocabulary to catchy beats, dynamic flows, and infectious melodies, students don't just memorize Mandarin—they internalize it, feel it, and sing it.

What to Expect in Class

Over the course of 15 action-packed weeks (May 4 – August 16), your child will:

  • Build a Massive Vocabulary Foundation: By the end of the 15 weeks, your child will have mastered 90 high-frequency terms, including 15 classic four-character idioms (成語), and learned to recognize an incredible 183 unique Chinese characters. We bypass niche vocabulary to focus entirely on exactly what they need for authentic, everyday conversations.

  • Accelerated Character Exposure: Our lyrics utilize intelligent "character recycling." By weaving previously learned characters into new words and idioms, students subconsciously recognize patterns and build visual memory faster than ever before.

  • Develop Native-Like Cadence & Tones: By chanting, rapping, and singing in time with the melodies,  students naturally adopt correct tones and pronunciation without the frustration of traditional rote repetition.

Shared Reading

Teachers guide students through beautiful, bestselling children’s literature carefully selected from Asia. Our curriculum draws from a private library of over 20,000 books, making us true experts in children’s Mandarin literature.

Discussion & Vocabulary Exploration:

As stories unfold, students pause to unpack new terms, images, and ideas. They discuss meanings, connect concepts to their own experiences, and learn how native speakers express themselves.

Creative Language Use:

Students compose sentences, craft short responses, and participate in comprehension conversations that build confidence and fluency.

Daily Writing Practice:

We read and teach fully in Traditional Chinese, with full support for Simplified Chinese, especially when children write. All teachers are trained in both systems.

In our Foundations weekend classes, students learn both Simplified and Traditional in a structured approach.
